Will You Marry Me Yesterday

Will You Marry Me Yesterday

A Poem by TTBoy28

It would be right

To get down on one knee

As long as you were in my sight

Within arms length of me

If I showed you the ring

How could I sing

to you

Without making a scene

And if I stayed quiet

Would anyone buy it

And not think I was mean

Though I should have said something a long time ago

Now I just gotta know

I wish I could say this another way

Because the joy we’ve had

Has kept us both so glad

Will you marry me yesterday?

I don’t want nobody else

I’d rather stay all by myself

Would be too much for me to bare

We spend all our time, together

And I’d give my last dime, whenever

To know just how you really care

If I’m moving too fast

It’s ‘cause my heart is in a cast

And it’s aching to be set free

But I would die inside

If we couldn’t stay on this ride

Me loving you, you loving me

You may not want a ring

Just remember one thing

My love for you won’t go away

Can we just seal the deal

And keep it real

Will you marry me yesterday?
