Love, Me

Love, Me

A Poem by TTBoy28

Just finished your letter

But I doubt I’ll send it

How could I possibly make things better

after throwing that last fit?

You know me oh so well

For a minute, I was too blind to see

If I ever send it, only time will tell

I signed it, Love, Me

Did I have a right to get upset

without talking to you first

Here’s hoping you’ll forget

Excuse me, if this sounds rehearsed

What I should have known

Is that you were on my side

And just in case my cover’s blown

Believe me when I say to you, I’m in for more than just a ride

In front of all those sneers and jeers

I really acted like a fool

I wouldn’t blame you if you forgot my tears

then walked me back to school

And I know words can seem so cheap

when they’re not spoken genuinely

With my soul to keep, I hope you believe

the way I signed it just Love, Me
