Please Me

Please Me

A Poem by TTBoy28

Can your sea engulf my river?

If I held your hand

would it make you quiver?

If my joyous soldier

became a boulder

Would it help you deliver?

What if I didn’t want time

to stop?

If I told you over and over

You were finer than wine

Would you let me feel you bounce

hop,

 and pop?

Please talk to me

Would you do all this

before a kiss

Me whispering simple somethings

without a miss

I promise

I wouldn’t diss this

Please talk to me

Don’t be afraid

if the lights aren’t low

All my dues should be paid

Because you stayed

Just let me see

the afterglow

Please talk to me

Remind me

of the third day we met

I washed the dishes

then the bottom sheet of the set

Hands down

You won the bet

Now, talk to me

We’ll both scream hallelujah

And I’ll play the guitar for ya’

And sing the blues a-way

Heaven help us

should we play on a red bus

Love, I won’t abuse or misuse ya’

Please me

By talking to me

Please talk to me
