Parked Car

Parked Car

A Poem by TTBoy28

Are you out of gas

After going and moving so fast

Thought you had a heart of brass

Ready, willing, built to last

Perfect you are

On the outside

Just like a beautiful parked car

Lucky is the one who gets to ride

Maybe the damage isn’t too bad

Does the inside mirror your hood

Getting you started makes one glad

As long as you get them there it’s oh so good

The gas you take

can make the road shake

Losing power, driving into a lake

Breaking the rules even you make

Seeing you from afar

A well-polished shining star

My, how you raise the bar

As long as you stay a parked car
