Hey, Davida!

Hey, Davida!

A Poem by TTBoy28

Hey, Davida

Why you wanna treat me so bad

You know, I can’t stand ya

And that’s just way too sad

Hey, Davida

Why don’t you fix your hair

Ain’t enough to see ya

Swayin’ back in a rockin’ chair

You used to give so much

Now you’re just so burned out

You used to be my ace, my clutch

Oh, you make me wanna shout

Hey, Davida

What’s up wit chu?

Hey, Davida!

Girl, get a clue!

Hey, Davida!

Poster boards showed your face

Every time the sun hit your hair

Like strawberries and cream that tasteful taste

You gave it away, it just ain’t fair

And now

Hey, Davida

Where the little boys at

All smooched out alone and no chat

I took you to the store

You got whatever you wanted

And if you wanted more

All you had to do was flaunt it

I was never the kind

To backtrack mine

But then, you threw me shade

Now, you’re the one who’s made

Bye, Davida!
