Downtime

Downtime

A Poem by TTBoy28

It swirls of goodness
Curling towards nothingness
goes the flavor that welcomes a wonderfully
robust day to reflect and grope the essence
of being
May it please me to watch my day go by
though peaceful as the birds chirp outside
I am where I want to be
with every cup of joy that fills and drowns
the butterflies I let inside
I am where I want to be
when I raise my legs to rest them
and without care of a coaster to prevent a mark
on my holder of peace, love, and serenity
as I coast the hours away in bliss
before it all gets lukewarm

. ah, bliss ... i'm smiling away at your versatility and this particular example of exquisite poetry ... downtime, indeed ... before it all gets luke warm ... but picture this ... what if ... she walks in ... on a breezy whiff of your floating dreams ... fragrant like spring ... (na, no designer perfume, but a good old deo that's just perfect and awesome) ... and she says ... who says it all gets lukewarm ... what do you mean, mister ... don't you know i exist ? ... you fumble in your own internal darkness until suddenly you find the switch ... switch it on and now ... in the light ... you can see her ... you can see that she means it ... her eyes fixed on you ... but you just drop in them ... so she says ... hello ? ... have you never seen hot before ? ... next thing you know, you don't know what the hell hit you ... and then you're all in a mess ... rethinking and redefining what you thought was hitherto true ... i don't know for sure though ... just my thoughts after reading your poem ... not because of what it overtly says ... but what it expresses through your tone in this piece ...
