Choose Me

Choose Me

A Poem by TTBoy28

My hand is lonely without
yours in it
They always do make the
perfect fit
Trying to stay wise
underneath grayish skies
Hearing other cries
lies after lies

What got us here
is why we're here
Now strong enough to
hold back the tear
that you wanted to show
If Heaven could only see
though
But it hears the other cries
that come from other lies

Two fingers just won't
do it
Even three wouldn't glue
it
Four is still missing the
thumb
Like a one-on-one
with a bottle of Rum

Without all five
we just couldn't be alive
Inside each other
Outside or
undercover
Even if you walk
fast
For long it couldn't
last
Side by side
Go along for the
ride
Say you will after all my
tries
that come from all the others
lies
