The Bliss That It Missed

The Bliss That It Missed

A Poem by TTBoy28

I put my hand through a window
and stopped at the wrist
oh, the bliss that it missed
with delusions of grandeur
what has come of this

What was clear in its approach
found me on a slow train in coach
Oh, the bliss that it missed
Did I make a good wish
with all that's left on my list?

The casing needed replacing
as I was all about defacing
What should have cut
Now leaves me in a rut
Oh, the bliss that it missed

Again and again
I come back to my now old friend
Oh, the bliss that it missed
As the light shines, I kissed
And drink fine wine with cheese swissed
