I wish it would rain every Sunday

I wish it would rain every Sunday

A Poem by TTBoy28

The stage is set
to do absolutely nothing
And nothing is set to be done
I wish it would rain every Sunday

The dishes are left in the sink
though the dishwasher is right below
To move them would change their geography
I wish it would rain every Sunday

Temperature perfect to crack the door
Yesterday's air seeps out welcoming the new
The vacuum sits in perfect vision
I wish it would rain every Sunday

Strategically placed is the TV and couch
Not the day to be a grouch
But I did make coffee and croissants
Oh, how I wish it would rain every Sunday

Terms of Endearment or Imitation of Life
My body as art dares to imitate life
As a King inside my wasteland of strife
I wish it would rain every Sunday

When it's all played out and
time has reached its peak
Joyfully I plan my course for the week
This day was too nice
I really must say
Please let it rain, Lord,  every living Sunday
