GOLD BLACK/BLACK GOLD MIRRORED

GOLD BLACK/BLACK GOLD MIRRORED

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY
"

LOVING SELF

"
Why cover my darkness to suit your taste?
Look at my reflection.
Every frowning stare,
every defamed word aimed
at me hurts within.
All I want is to be loved and friends.
I didn't choose my dark skin but I am able
to win in the beautiful skin my soul is in.
Man O' Man my gold black skin starts wit
beauty from within & born for loving friends.
