THANK YOU LORDA Poem by ROXANE DORSEYAFRAID OF MY OWN PURPOSEThank you Lord. Today I am here. For I don't know why. I must say thank you. For every breathe I inhale & exhale, it is you that I breathe. The air of life takes me where I need to be. Trouble as it may seem I'm afraid of a me. To succeed at what my life's purpose destined to be. A voice for the people. The unspoken swallowed by fear & sin. Having a head full of Gin, Gin, Gin. Quick to put da blame on him. Again trouble follows, intending to commit sin. The devil's mind wants you. You're elite & sweet. No, I won't go. Yeah I may be under the influence of another beat. However, this tune choose to give up the streets. Marching bands drums up a new me. Oh, saying I can see my God gave me a spirit of strength & courage without fearing man. I felt strong mentally and physically. Somewhere along the way I lost my will power. Therefore if I find favor in your sight, I humble myself to ask for you to restore the gifts and power given to me at birth.
