My DreamsA Poem by ROXANE DORSEY
...oh, to my dearest dreams,
now where could you be? ...did I leave 'em on a roller coaster stuck in mid-air? ...did swamp meat get me? ...did I sink in quick sand? ...did I chase a historian to drum up old wive's tales on Halloween? ...did I leave my dearest dreams to a fellow I met in a meadow? The meadow had a sea of love & sweet grubs. ...or was it just a nightmare to think my dreams would leave me? ...funny thing, my dreams didn't notice a thing. It didn't miss me because my dreams were sleeping.
