You're All I Have

You're All I Have

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

You are all I have.
I'm all you got.
I thought we were locked
in togetherness of our word.
But no it was someone else's
show.
That girl.
She put on a ritzy song & dance
show.
Oh, how that woman made your
eyes glow.
but oh no. I ain't having it.
I'm gonna have a fit.
I wanna tell that gale I'm the
one for she's not his hit.
I'm not going to be fun, it's
your lesson.
Look at my expressions.
She gusty though to mess
with my fellow.
But I'm fierce and nice.
No one can come near
my flow so it shows
It's different, don't you know?

Oh yes, Roxane ~ tell it like it is! I love the folowing line “But I’m fierce and nice” ~ for it describes exactly how a ‘woman scorned’ really can be.

Thanks for sharing your words this morning. 🌹

Blessings,

love poetry since it has been embedded in my mind deeply way back when I was 4 years old. A very good reader in pre-school. Nursery rhymes tuned me in even deeper. more..
