Mister

Mister

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

Street kids run to seek what's in the streets
Running wit bad company seizing where
one pleases against victims reasons.

No mom is home. For she has a full time
gig to help take care her darling little pigs
outside the pad. So where's dad?
Everybody knows another woman has
dad at her pad.

Street kids rest in your beds.  For home is
where the heart is.  Nothing is in those's
streets but robbers and police.  Late night
rumbles will double if your in trouble
running from the law.  Instead be a super
star in the eyes of your community.

Folks have to step up to the plate, set
examples.  Perhaps help street kids
relate to understand the importance of
being a good model citizen.
Help that little brother or sister no matter
the color because they'll still respectfully
call you Mister.
