From the Sky, Black Cries

From the Sky, Black Cries

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

under the mysterious sky
creation dwells
life won't let me be
I want to be free
fall to my knees
ask for peace
twas all the lonely
crying out, "freedom
two pieces of bread
filling tummy's instead
fool's juice the pain
quit the crack & smack
started giving back
struggle for unity
make it happen
for my black community
slowing dying
crying to all, "help"!

New leader in the USA. Don't seek to repair. Cut benefits to all races. White lady with cancer. Benefit cut. Young white man with a sickness. No more benefits. Black lady with a beautiful child. Need weekly treatment cannot no-more. Benefits cuts. My friend. If the poor don't gather as one. All people will suffer. Here in my city of Detroit. Churches, regular people and business try to help. Black community and all races if not wealthy. Are forgotten. We must pay attention to our leaders. Look at Flint, Michigan. Powerful words my friend. Time for the people to gather as one. A great leader once said. Children are the wealth of a nation. Dear Roxane. Will get worst before it gets better.
