The Outdoors

The Outdoors

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

Outdoors, life keeps a going
sparkling snowflakes tremble like diamonds
dresses skyline oh, so white letting out last night
towards town's end how I sat with a friend
slushy side roads
gritty grounds covered
backdrop mountains peak snowy icing drips
dry boulders rough spacious
dead wood entertains fresh droplets
acorns blanket grassy roots
baby leaves sprout on trees
dead & brown leaves lay the ground
making crunchy sounds
sunshine peeps through bare branches
ah, a sigh of relief to breathe.

The imagery in this one is superb! Thanks for taking us on a walk through your neighborhood. Yes, nature helps us relax and sigh. Lydi**
