Easy, Tiger...

Easy, Tiger...

A Poem by TadKent

A bit of an angry song I wrote a while ago. To hear it, go here: http://www.myspace.com/thetadkentproject . Not as "pretty" as my other stuff. Comment or whatever for explanation on song title. = ]

I heard about

The way you say you're gone inside...

And all about,

the way you die when I walk by.

I wonder if

there's times I ever cross your mind

Or if you've thought

about the day you said goodbye

Someday it will all catch up to you

Whether you like it or not

You say that we're all over,

Well I agree.

There's now way to start it up again

Get over the way you hate me.

It's clear that we're all done

It's too much of you to ask of me

Just wait and see...

I wonder when

You come around to realise...

There's no need to yell

I've always been on your side.

A mystery,

that I'm a monster in your eyes.

I wish you'd see

I was waiting in plain sight

I'm standin' right in front of you

whether you like it or not...

You say that we're all over,

Love, I agree.

There's no way to start it up again

I'm over the way you hate me

It's clear that we're all done.

It's too much of you to ask of me,

just wait and see-

And as I walk across this place

I'm sure that i'm the only one,

That should avoid that hateful gaze.

You say the we're all over,

Well I agree.

There;s no way to start it up again,

I'm over the way you hate me.

It's clear that we're all done.

It's too much of you to ask of me

Just wait and see.

There's quite a bit of anger in here but I see it more as emotional hurt than anything destructive or vindictive. The reprtition of 'no way to start it up again' rings a little like a phrase that's been said to you and you're repeating it like a mantra in order to hold back feelings or cling to false hope. I liked this a lot.

I LOVE this! So much emotion and mixed feelings. I can even picture I can even picture someone saying this to their significant other or even giving it as a soliloquy. Very nice :)

Just listened to this. It was so-so just reading it, but now that I've heard it the way you intended, it's a favorite. Funny how a guitar and a little passion can change the written word.

There is a typo, the last part 'There;s' it's 'There's'
I just thought I'd point it out.

I believe this is the first "angry" poem I'm reading from you. You have channeled your anger into something very creative here, unlike what many others do. There are plenty of beautiful lines in this poem, and I believe quoting them would be futile, as I liked the whole poem. By the way, I listened to the song on your myspace page. It is really good. I hope you make it big!
The way this poem flows, the way you release your emotions, slowly, but surely, and the heart rending way with which you recall past memories all combine to give this poem a very relatable feel. Amazing.
You're an awesome poet, dude.

This is great, it is angry but more hurt than anything harmful. I liked this a lot, great job.
