Another Daughter~

Another Daughter~

A Poem by ¿
"

.

"
Another twilight's gone mother
Your child saunters behind
Late autumn serves icy air
Blithers gothic tune to my ears

Another meal is cooked mother
Cabbage in the prior night's broth
Lord gave me a wilful tongue
Posh delicacy it longs

Another hope knit mother
Your yarns are though so thin
Our anorexic legs fall off-track
This place is of tyres and engines

Another daughter find mother
My fever isn't a duck-soup
Drift me away after I be no more
Burial costs, people are aloof

In your reply to Chris, you wrote, 'The pain of seeing their children hungry is more painful than the hunger of the children,' Never has a truer word been spoken

There is a brand of Iranian Caviar called Almas, that retails at over
$30,000 per kilogram; it is the worlds most expensive food.

According to the charity 'Save the children,' it costs just 50 cents a day to
prevent a starving African child from dying.

Only one word suffices for how our world has come to this. Obscene!

Beccy.

Be here when you have no where else to be... Always a charm to read your stuffs.
This is a haunting poem, especially after I got to your author's note. My internet service never blinks, but the other morning it was out for a few hours & it seemed like that was a big inconvenience. I am poor, but still I can't fathom how the poorest of the poor live. It's very stressful not knowing how you'll pay for basics each month & that's how tons of people feel with unemployment surging in 2020. You use s strong vivid details to show instead of tell, plus I love how the first line of each verse follows a certain structure that gives this a sense of resounding (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I don't really like this particular writing style.

But you do have a very beautiful eye.

But I do like your honesty. Thanks TK! Hope you're well. :)
This gave me chills!!!
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread."
It would take a lifetime before we complete counting the gifts we have being the privileged. Tahsin, the pathos that you've aroused here, the sentiment, is all too powerful. We realize how incapable we are to create a difference. Wonderful write.
Stay Safe.

I won’t express any further compassion for others less fortunate - you have done that most admirably. Actually you have expressed the very fine notion to prefer dignity for those less fortunate. A strong command of words and poetic delivery. Well done!

Let's praise ordinary man and women and child. This is what spoke to me here. You keep authenticity or real life but you also keep your inner poetic voice. Your message is clear at my eyes. There are so many poor people who cannot feed own children and situation is getting more down. I like your tone when you serve us simple poetic meal. But when we have to listen and see . And when we listen and see finally our hearts getting open. This is power of real poetry . Well done.

Is it the top 3% of the richest people who basically run the planet.
It's always been the haves and the have-nots and it will never change. Unless there's a world order to fix things which I don't see anytime soon. 21st century and people are still starving, it's a stain on humanity.

They're starving and we are fulfilling the cravings and it goes on. Thank you Paul!😇
emotional and filled with melancholy! the stuff of dreams added up to the bitterness of modern life. This place is indeed of "Tyres and Engines". beautifully described. somehow reminded me of "Mother" by Pink Floyd... I really enjoyed reading your poems. you have your own style and speak from the heart. Nothing beats that! I wish you an endless supply of creativity. Always :)
