In woods of bliss

In woods of bliss

A Poem by Anthony M. Roman

In the woods of light and bliss,
All of trees laughed in remiss
At one wolf wounded and sick
Snarling, howling, all in crick.
While the willow by the lake,
Deep within, harbored a snake
All too wise and further, cold
Only Gods should know how old.
And the wolf came to the serpent,
And his head bound by his weight,
Cursed by hiss and venom
Wolf lay down, wounded and dead.

i guess even in an idyllic setting there is deception, pain and death. this poem is like a fable. excellent job. i can see you are good at philology. they don't teach that here, but i do have an interest in the subject. i studied english literature and linguistics. i also love language.

This is a great poem! It's very lyrical, and I found the message to be very thought-provoking. Bravo!
