Upside Down People

A short poem that makes little sense of nothing. Please comment and I will return the favor!

Paint a memory of dotted lines

Hear the faces

See the voices

Memorize the taste of its touch

And the scent of its sound

Create a landscape of parallel lines

Broken every quarter inch

Leading to a backwards place

Of upside down people

With sideways dreams

Dear Taliaa

Welcome to Writers Café

I have nothing to do with the administration of the site.

I just review and write on here like everyone else.

However I take a keen interest in new members and how they express themselves; what they are trying to say; and how they do it.

There is style and mystery to this poem.

I enjoy both.

Style: It has balance and metre.

Content? Well you leave me thinking.

I have my own take as others will have theirs.

I feel you talk about the art of writing and how to make sense of it in playing with words on a page, seeing what they look like and finding yourself somewhere between throwing them in the bin and working on them,

Advice?

1) This is an accomplished piece. Keep writing; and

2) Never bin anything you write. If you don't like it, stick it in a bottom drawer and you may even come back to it later. Everything we write is raw material. We are all alchemists as writers, doing our best to turn the mud of life into gold.

I am glad you have joined.
