The Warm Embrace

The Warm Embrace

A Poem by The Turk
"

This poem is about the one I love. I can never get you out of head. To you Lina Grey

"
Trapped
The only word that describes this nightmare
Wide white walls enclose me on all sides
No sound is heard in my hypersensitive ears

5  When I close my weary eyes I feel a warm breeze
The smell of honey suckle and willow trees fill the air
I look around and see you sitting next to me
We sit under the willow tree and look out at the lake

I grab your hand and feel your steady pulse
10  your smooth palm, warm and loving
I see your wide Cheshire smile gleam in the sunlight
As you pull me to my feet I feel as light as air

You pull me towards you a lock me in a loving embrace
Your hair smells like blossoming cherry trees
15   As we let each other go you whisper in my ear "good bye"
I stand back and see you disappear like dust in the wind

I open my eyes and find myself facing emptiness
I am back in the white wall hell
