That Girl

That Girl

A Poem by Kiara

Do you see that girl?

The one that they all ignore?

Do you see the deadness in her eyes?

In those eyes that once would sparkle and shine?

Do you see the scars on her skin?

On that skin that once was flawless and clean?

Do you see the bruises beneath her eyes?

Beneath those eyes that once were awake and alert?

Do you see the blood on her skin?

On that skin that once was whole?

Do you see the pain in her eyes?

The pain that decorates her skin with blood?

Really great poem. I love the style you used, and the form. The questions draw you in, and make you wonder what happened to her, or maybe if it was you, or a friend. You put a new twist on seems to be a over written subject.
