Hiding

Hiding

A Poem by Kiara

Your messages sit in my inbox.
I want to read them,
Want to remember you.
I can't open them,
Not here,
Not when people are watching.
I can't show them how I feel.
I can't break down,

But I want to every day.

Would they even notice?
Can they already tell?
I hardly have the energy to speak,
I can't remember the time I last smiled.
It was probably before....
Before I lost you....
I have to keep going,
I can't give up,

But I want to every day.
