Indulgence

I actually wrote this poem for English, but I liked it THEREFORE i shall post it and gather an opinion.

From our book of woes
we may partake,
Our tears
we will drink like wine,
Our misfortunes
we may consume like bread,
To our martyrs
we pray,
To our saints
we ask forgiveness,
For our souls
we will beg for salvation,
Our guilt
we will let consume us
