Night Heart

Messing around with stream of consciousness once again.

Baby I know I won’t see your heart tonight

But it’s alright because I won’t give up this fight

To have you by my side forever more

Though rich and poor

Believe darling that’s no chore.

 

In some ways I’m ready to say goodbye today

But also want to stay

Where I was yesterday

Never sure what I want to be other than freed

From my fears of the future

And to know what life hold for me.

 

Trying hard every day to be different

And tired of being ridiculed for it every second

I didn’t know standing out in a crowd

Put a target on my back

And made girls believe

I’m so easy to deceive

I’m not one to set myself up to fall

I’m just trying to find ways I can walk tall.

 

I know he’s smart

I’ve just got a lot of heart

If he is the next step in evolution I will start a revolution

If the way he thinks is what populates society

We should all be charged with pollution

I will try to find a solution.
