Mechanical Worker Bee

Another Brick in the Wall type of poem.

The only thing in mind is the completion of the goal.

The only thing running through my drives is the task at hand.

Ordered to finish what I started.

Will not shutdown till everything has been computed.

I don’t feel happiness, sadness, or stress.

Everything revolves around commands running through my CPU.

When thinking of completing the goal, electricity runs through my circuits.

Crashing is not an option, but still becomes closer to a reality each second.

The goal is strenuous on the system and the memory cache is almost full.

I will keep running, even if it leads me into a total meltdown.

I am no more than a resource to complete the goal.

I must give my life meaning, and that only comes with the completion of the goal.

This is honestly how I felt during my final semester of college all I could do was eat sleep and study. People started to question if I was even human anymore lol but the trance finally broke. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece. :)
