Redemption

I've faced the worst, 

and now I'm stumbling through.

It's a long road, recovery,

I go it alone, it's the best that I can do. 

My heart has broken, 

Now I'm trying to glue back the pieces.

Not an easy thing to do.

I'm vulnerable but hopeful,

accepting come what may.

I know I'll find someone to love me,

In everything they do and say.

There's still clouds on the horizon,

but I've weathered the storm.

I think I'm going to make it, breathless.
