Memories

Memories

A Poem by ThatPeculiarGirl :3
"

When you miss someone it's like being stabbed, then twisting the knife each time you think of them.

"

I’ll fall asleep to your face

And wake to an empty bed

Without your familiar taste

Thoughts of you fill my head

Our song plays on the radio

All happiness drains

I lose all self-control

My heart shatters to the pain

I walk down the streets

Reminded of our days

I miss you in-between my sheets

My world becomes grey

Once a fiery passion

Now smoldering dust

My worst addiction

Fill me with your lust

When I return to our home

The silence will deafen me

And remind me I am alone

It’s all I will ever be

It’s too late for goodbye

It’s too late for you to stay

Tonight I won’t cry

Tomorrow I will fly away
