Single Again...

Single Again...

A Poem by The Lark

Ah, here we go again.
Like flotsam by the shore,
Sweeping in on a wave,
Dragging out with the tide;
Still searching,
As a thousand times before.

A favorite so far, of the works of yours I have read.
I agree with the comment below, a wonderfully chosen
metaphor, and I would love to see this extended some, in the future.

This is a great metaphor!! If you wanted to make it longer you could try describing what it is this person is searching for..in the metaphor that is cuz i mean we all know they are searching for the right person... maybe a message in a bottle... or that perfect/chip-less sea shell. Also the word flotsam isn't very common, you might wanna change it to like debris or something else just b/c not knowing that word distracts ppl from the poems natural flow.

indeed

Ilike how you use the nautical imagery to describe this topic, as it is very much like a tide, like the ebb and flow of the sea :)

Lovely description, spot on imagery :) all around lovely :P

And best of luck with the ladies ;) :P
