Sameness.

Sameness.

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy

I have grown to adore the sameness of my days.

I have finally captured my long sought peace.

Coffee with friends at the coffee shop, or a cup at

home, alone with characters who inhabit my mind?

Perhaps a walk on a sun-splashed morning through

the brilliant green expanse of park with my good

friend, Mr. King whispering his tales in my ears.

Yes, the sameness of my days is divine, save for

that constant gnawing worry ... "might today be

the last of my incredible, wonderfully same days?"

What I love most about this poem is how content it is. It says this person has lived and now they are totally happy with their routine, their coffee, their musings. And it makes me reflect on how I'm doing the exact opposite in my life right now, trying to create as much variety as I can because I'm 21 and haven't fully lived yet. It's a great life poem!

Life truly lies in the simplest of moments. That is what we should seek. The rest is just drama that we can do without.

This is a wonderful little poem. I am captured by the first two lines. Even more so in reverse.
