--- Relentless Echo ---

--- Relentless Echo ---

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy

With the passing of each day
the chasm yawns farther agape,
as if some ravenous thing
in search of its next feed.

From my side, you are but a
speck atop the far off cliff.
I turn away, and for a while ...
I suffer your absence well.

Yet even with my back to you
there is no escape, for you are
the whispered echo that cuts
through me like an icy wind.

You are my relentless echo.

Ooooh, niiiice!! The imagery of a grand canyon that is ever widening to express the divide between people and the echo of your attachment to the person not being able to be severed despite your distance from each other. Such rich language! Love! Well done.
