Chapter Three: The Demon Gets It's Collar

The room was completely black. It wasn't even my room anymore. Just...nothing. Complete and total nothingness. Then I saw it. A very dark figure. I could only see its eyes and mouth. The rest was like a shadow. Brightly colored scales started raining from above me. "Do you wish to form a contract with me?" I hear a very familiar voice say. "Yes." I reply. "What is your wish?" There was a long silence. "I want to become like you." I finally reply. "Ha! So the puny girl wants to become a demon? Once you make this deal you cannot go back. And once you are a demon, who do you expect to help you? Once our contract is complete I will leave you. And you will be sent to the netherworld where all demons live. You will have no one." "I know. But this is what I want. I want to become stronger! Now hurry up and make the contract!" "As you wish." The figure smiled.

The room went back to normal. The demon walked over to me while saying "Now, where do you want the contract mark to be? The closer the mark is to the heart, the stronger it will be." "Then put it on my left shoulder." I reply. "All right, but this will hurt. But only for a moment." He removes the sleeve from my left shoulder and puts his hand to it. "Aaagh!" I yell. "Huh, wimp." He replies as he takes his hand away. "It really hurt, you insensitive jerk!" I looked where his hand was and I saw a pentagram. It was it was an odd looking one though. It was a circle with a star on the inside like all pentagrams, but inside the star was a strange looking animal. "Now that we're contracted together, I need to know your name." I tell him. "My name is whatever my master desires it to be." "Ok then..." There was a long silence while I thought of a name. "Man... What should I name this guy? Takahashi! No, that's not cool... Hiro! No. Hmm what should his name be." "Oh I've got it! Your name shall be Makai. I think it fits you perfectly." "I am honored to have such a name. It is the name for a demon after all." He smirks while saying this. "All right Master, what shall you have me-" "Stop." I interrupt him. "I don't want you acting like my servant." "Then what shall I act as?" He questions. "I want you to behave just as you were before our contract. Although I would appreciate it if you were a little nicer." "Huh fine. Now what was your name again?" "You idiot! How dare you sign a contract with me when you don't even know my name! Just for that you will call me master!" I yell at him. He smirked and said "As you wish, Master." "Now, do you have any idea where this demon seal is? I know you said it was in an unknown area, but do you have an idea of where it could be?" I question. "I haven't the slightest clue, but I know someone who does. Now, shall we go visit this person? If so, just order it and I will do as you command." "Makai, I order you to take me to them!" He smirks and bows slightly. "Yes, Master."
