I leave mine with God

I leave mine with God

A Poem by Rubein Geterminah
"

Many peoples get frustrated relationship wise and revenge; especially in the African setting by consulting a Sand cutter.

"
"Annie, with all you did for that man
Because of a dowry, took you from school and
Made you a kitchen supervisor
Hoping for better days, you were the provider
Now he doesn't want you, and you crying?

You lose your pride selling potato greens
To support home when he couldn't afford grains
You blocked your dream
From being reality because of the new frame
You had, and you're not seeing a Native doctor?

He's saying,'She is unproductive & stupid
No managerial skill
She knows,'; and you think your avenger is Cupid?
Now your love is killed
Are you not going to see a Sand cutter?

God! Togbah is blessed. The devil
That got in yours can't get him to do such evil,
I could show him the fire I warm myself
With, nothing I could leave on the shelf
To get even with him!" But Annie said, " I leave mine with God".

Author's Note

Rubein Geterminah
Some peoples struggle with their fiancé's while schooling.
But after graduation and better jobs, they become incompatible.
In most cases the hurt partner revenges. But Annie leaves hers with God.

There was an incredible flow that not only made it pleasurable to read, but interesting. It gave the piece a voice, one that matched the words perfectly. And the thought put into it is appreciated. Didn't even mind that it didn't rhyme haha. Excellent job though.

The "Eye for an eye, tooth for tooth", concept as thought in Old Testament time is seen by the round character in this dialogue. But the flat character uses the" Vengeance is mine...." approach.
