Seemingly a truthful lie.

How can one
Seek something
One hath not seen?
What will one find?

If It hasn't been found
Anywhere one has been
Perhaps It is not mine.
Not for me to see,
I AM BLIND.

Blind to It's beauty
That is the clear Night Sky
With a face full of shining smiles.
Blind to the sound of It
I don't hear; but see
Sad sounding sighs.

Perhaps It does not exist,
Perhaps It is not meant
To be seen like this,
Perhaps not meant to be found.
Maybe we seek
That which seeks us,
We should wait to be FOUND.

LOL,that's how I intended to write it but realized I'm a black,17 year South African kid who wouldn't be appreciated if I started writing in Olde English,,,but though ye are right,I wrote this poem that even the anti-poetic non-genius can relate (cc : Forer Effect) IT is whatever you hold most valuable,be it God,Peace,Love,Power,Intellect,etc...all these are abstractions which we hope to find perfection in,yet for most part we aren't sure...its 7 stanzas,starting with the cryptic one worder 'seek' if you seek it hard enough then maybe by the time you reach stanza 7,you will have a perfect understanding of IT. Seek,Find...but maybe to find IT,it has to find you. But you are STILL Wise to errthing Eye do.

I applaud your concern for acceptance yet I believe we writers need to be true to ourselves and write from our hearts. Being Black, 17 and South African is only part of who you are. You are intelligent, creative, moral, brave, refreshing and a great writer who has a great future. So I believe you need to write Olde English or whatever you choose to write without concern about being appreciated. Even if a certain piece doesn't get rave reviews, write on. Some of the things I have written are crap but I write on: learning; experiencing; growing; and doing what I love to do.

You should consider being a motivational speaker,if ye aren't already...and I'm sure the "crap" you're referring to is probably better than a lot of Magnum Opuses outchere...
