She was a simple girl. Aria Styles had brown hair with hints of red and blonde throughout it, she had greenish brown eyes and an olive complexion. Her style, or lack there of, was simple. She was simply, simple. She was a quiet girl coasting through high school unnoticed, by both students and teachers, which she wouldn’t complain about by any means. She had always felt out of place, like she didn’t fit in. There was only one thing about herself that she thought fit perfectly, her name, Aria. Gentle music, and music was her passion, her everything. Aria found music everywhere, in everything. She once even found herself humming the melody she heard in a classmates heartbeat, during a health class assignment, the entire classroom became silent, as if mesmerize until she stopped, and it was as if nothing had happened, as if they had never heard it. That time was never mentioned again, by anyone, not students or staff, and Aria would like to keep it that way, being in the background is exactly where she wanted to be.

Aria's home life was very different, she was the center of her parents world, heck if she didn't insist on going to a public school she probably would be homeschooled like her mother wanted to when she started 9th grade. She knew she was lucky to have her father on her side, because she knew if he wasn't she wouldn't have stood a chance against her mother. Her parents where very conservative people, her mother more so than her father, but it wasn't by very much. Her father, Preston Styles, stood tall, with a slightly dark complexion and deep brown hair. Mr. Styles was in private security, and made it his business to know all the who's around them, and every 'what' there was to know about them, although for knowing so much about so many, he didn't gossip as much as you would think, staying in the background seemed to be a family trait, however he did seem to agree with Aria that she was only young once, and should enjoy it while she can. Her mother, Florah Styles, on the other hand had a very different idea, although she too, believed that staying in the background was the thing to do, she believed, what seemed to be "hiding away" was the best way to do so. She was a radiant woman, she had a light complexion with dark red hair, she was a florist, and had her own green house at their home, a green house in which nothing ever seemed to die, every flower and plant, fruit and vegetable were perfect. Mrs. Styles, did floral designs for everyone in town, every event held she was the florist of choice. This allowed her to get close to everyone around them, like Mr. Styles did just in a different way. Mrs. Styles always told Aria, a persons choice in flowers, often speaks of the person they truly are..

Aria sometimes would work with her mother, she especially like to help with the fancy parties, it was easy for Aria to lose herself and find music in all the chaos that went on at those types of parties, her father wasn't very fond of her working, he always said that she should focus on getting her education so that she could pave the way for her own future, not her mothers, but Aria always sensed it was more than that, she never felt the need to push the subject.

The summer had just ended and Aria was starting her Senior year of high school, she mostly kept to her self but she did have a small group of friends that just got her. "Her" group consisted of her four good friends; First there was Capris, she was the artsy type, she was dainty and cute, her hair changed colors almost weekly and you could always find a speck or two of paint on her somewhere. Then there was Teagan, most of the time she went unnoticed, somehow she always seemed to be around when trouble was brewing, but she had a way of calming the waters. Next there was Harper, she certainly wouldn't let you forget about her. She was a very sweet girl, but if she had something or you gave her a reason to, she would not hold back. Harper definitely had a flame in her, but this made it all the more clear that she would be there for her friends no matter what. Now the last friend, wouldn't exactly be consider a friend of Aria's, he was more, much much more, he was Aria's first, and who she thought was, her only love. His name Keiran Rhoads. He always had the right things to say, but the wrong questions to ask. Aria had been with Kieran for 3 years, and she knew her friends weren't his biggest fans, although they never discouraged her from being with him. Up until recently Aria believed that their relationship was perfect, however she had begun to notice that he the questions he would as were strange, ones she didn't really know the answers to. Kieran had never been much into sci-fi or fantasy, but lately he as brought it up a lot, asking questions like, if you could have a power what would it be, what would you use it for? She hadn't thought much of it, until lately when she began to dream of a place, nothing clear, but a place she could sense had some sort of power. Aria talked with her friends about her dreams, the more she said the more concered they seemed. This confused Aria, because they were just dreams, everyone had weird dreams, right? This made her think what power would she want? What kind of power would she have, would she be a witch or a fairy, or a Goddess? that would be insane right? The more she thought and the more she wished it was true. She believed that nothing
