Even though you're millions of miles away
I know that you're always here
When in the night sky I see a glistening star
It whispers to me that you are near

 

On those days when I feel sad and lonely
All I have to do is speak your name
And I will feel your presence in my heart
The act of missing you is no longer a burning flame

 

Because I recall the rainy day that you left
You told me to keep your memory alive
Until the time when we will meet again
That is the hope on which I thrive

 

I hold close the shirt that smells like you
It calms me whenever I'm upset
I listen to the songs we used to sing
And watch your favorite shows on the TV set

 

I think about you every night
It helps me to fall asleep
One beautiful day I'll see your face again
That's a promise to myself I intend to keep

Aw, this one is sad yet cute and has heartwrenching emotion in it. You may want to work a little on the amount of syllables per line to help the flow, but it's okay as is. I love your word choices and especially the line " the act if missing you is no longer a burning flame " great job Lydia!
