Floweresque

Floweresque

A Poem by Nicola

Why do I so violently flutter

Like violet butterflies through dew?

It can only be you.

Gossamer touch, anticipation

Must resist other sensations

That I might carefully allow myself to love.

Find my heart within the web

Of lies, silken pressure of deceit entwined around my mind.

Butterflies will flee and I

Will take like eagles to the sky,

Lest you capture me.

Bow to the breeze of my passing, as wisps

Of shimmering wind seek to lift me up

And away from you, to the clouds-

I wish upon stars that you were here

Stigma raised, dreaming of a union;

No air between us.

Together we whisper silly things: love, romance and everything

And I land upon your hand. Tamed.

Kiss the air that kisses you, let me soar the skies with you

My love, floweresque to my senses.

Beautiful poem, You can feel the writers emotions, the comfort and grace as she drowns in deep waters of love.
