Alone

This is who I am, the defining words of my existence... and the best poem of this this site!! ~~~~~~~~smiles~~~~~~~~

Since Ill Omen lulled at the cradle of my existence
Destiny has dawned its animosity with great persistence
Paths that were parallel have become less defined
Enamored dreams with reality have never entwined

Empty wells within my heart by tides of sorrow did overflow
Prayers of mercy that no one heard have slowly sunk below
Boisterous love-sighs smoothed off into a parting groan
And everything that ever was I embraced all alone

Deluded memories of this beginning still bleed through
As Tyrant Fate tainted my conciseness then waved adieu
Now hues of Heaven and Hell shine in my abstract days
Currents of the Unknown anchor me to an elaborate haze

But beneath the lacerated mask hides the truth that I must reveal
The longing of eyes and lips that these hands try to conceal
From the unconfined whispers swaying and playing in my chest
to all the ringlet of fiery dreams that still keep me possessed

Gazing, past the hallow fields through the clusters of vacant arms
Above my awaiting cold vault around the long forgotten charms,
for I still strive to see just one sunburst hope within Lifes crowds
But my Only World has suffused its face with darkened clouds

Revolving shadows of my demons were the creation of my own
And now, everything I have ever loved, I embrace all alone

I got lost in the enchantment, the elegance in which you expressed the emotion. It spoke in whispers of a beautiful longing and sweet sadness.

Your razor is sharp, PearlPoet. I does it's job though... of trimming the shag from our eyes. We see with a persistence, from within your existence where your thoughts overflow, complain and groan about the quintessential "alone." Alone within "... life's crowds" that surround you but never seek to embrace you. This mad desire, to be accepted in a sunburst of love, bespeaks a hope within us all. Nicely done.

I know this feeling and have seen it, You get that one very person makes all and your torn between a fork road where you don't know what to do but regroup, Not all happens that way sadly to say. Sometimes we get what we want and in the end a pain is seen. One is left holding an un-light candle in a wind. It may be a true moment what we see and how we see it. One can take and make a memory ,but sometimes getting new memories one does endure that alone. Power write you did:)))))))))))))))
