I've Been Alone

I’ve been alone.

Surrounded by darkness.

And I’ve seen how heartless,

The world can be.

I’ve been alone

I’ve been down,

I’ve been on my knees,

Begging for the pain to ease.

I’ve been alone.

Shown no mercy,

Beaten until I bleed,

But I’m still standing here aren’t I?

I’m still breathing,

I’m still fighting,

My heart still beats.

I’ve been so alone.

All these years,

But never shedding a single tear!

Cause I know in my heart I will survive!

And though all of my pain and sorrow,

I’m still alive!
