Alpha/Omega

Alpha/Omega

A Poem by C Peril

Manic, red and hot, struck like
the Iron of God Scribe No moment
that cannot be a flood of pages
Not perfunctory, for that is Blasphemy

You gather verse from the Thunder
crackling through the spasming flesh
of space Drunk on stars and all they
mean

Euphoric butterflies flutter in the
forever of the words amassed
with the sanctity of snowflakes
Ice and heat and love and death

A perfect unity that you pump
with a newly Christened heart

The immense columns kissed
with golden promise erected
by immortal engineers ardently
striving to climb into the very
vault of Heaven

Whimper and whisper defeat
at the spectacle of your stacked
works which triumph like
an Umbilical cord connected to the very Alpha
Omega
