Ready to Meet You

Ready to Meet You

A Poem by C Peril

Cast my eyes upon the horizon...
Ready to meet you
White robes, the white of stars and Heaven
From you, everything emanates
Your voice will be the wind that comforts
And your eyes are portals to the truth
that's a medication
That which is empty in me is now song
The eternal ache reconciled in arms the
expanse of oceans - warm water
Tears trickle into the beauty of a wordless
infinity
No more trying, trying to shed this voice
which tells me so plainly sorrow
and wheeping
Every am I worth is answered with your heart
that is the red of a sun dying
on the mightiest alter
Angels dance in the softness of your night
and from your Throne clocks and sense
cease to breathe
I embrace my father after all these years
partition
No more division
As our souls are safe and here
and blessed, fever of finding salvation
of roaming the mortal realm with
always questions
Dissipates in the Triumph of
a single staff that stands erect
proclaiming peace

mercy found

I can hate myself no more
