Bad Weather

Bad Weather

A Poem by C Peril

Today I'm under the rock, bad weather
I don't know whether I'm coming or going
For all I know, outside it's snowing
Best to make it a comfort day, blankets
and soup all the way
I stick the sad tunes on, the weary words,
the plaintive song
I choose which faces to visualise,
on which clouds to sleep,
which truth, which lies
And hope the blizzard overhead
mellows out when I'm next out of bed
