Blanket of Stars

Blanket of Stars

A Poem by TiffanyLynn

Stars dance across the pitch black sky. . .
All I see are them.
Some are big and beautiful.
Others are faded.

They remind us of how small we are.
Insignificant.
Life in general is so big.
We are so so small.
I quietly gasp as one falls.
A star shoots so fast.
In a blink it has disappeared.
I can feel your smile.
Your arm wraps tighter around me.
Pressing me closer.
I can feel the beat of your heart.
It races with mine.
The heat of our bodies as one.
Under this blanket
Made of stars that keep us so safe.
