Spiraling

Spiraling

A Poem by Jessica Slatton

Spiraling down into a dark hole.
Dirty hands grab a hold.
My life in shambles,
My thoughts in rambles.
Spiraling down this dark hole.

Frozen in this dark hole
He’s the one who grabbed a hold.
Dirty hands oh so cold,
Though he could not be bold.
Frozen in this dark hole.

Falling again down the dark hole
Thoughts are frozen in the blue
If only my life could be new
Start again and never look back.
Falling down the dark hole.

Sitting at the bottom and looking up
Could I go back and get out of this dump.
Walls all around me closing in
The darkness invades this empty hand
Can I find another one who can see
And stop the spiraling that’s comes to me
