Not Another Poem About Lost Love.

Not Another Poem About Lost Love.

A Poem by Time Lapse
"

Like always needs an edit but i like it.

"

Not another sad poem about lost love

Misplaced hope, trust

Not another longing to find the one

Just no more.

"I will fight no more I will fight no more forever"

Words of a man

Of a soul not unlike my own

Lost in a world that no longer makes sense

Sitting on cold cement

Watching the cars go hither and thither

Like my thoughts

Winding around the bend

Sleep-ish-ly waiting for the destination

Steering towards the future

And “life will be better when I get there”

So we plug on

Never stopping never waiting

For that second

That moment

Let it pass on by

The cars zoom by my parking lot

I just let them go

I just sit and speculate

About all the parked cars of this world

i like it. the end seems to be more honest, to me, than the begining, letting the cars go past, very noble of you.

I dig it...you have your foundation settled and solid. Like you said needs and edit, but very minor. try not to change too much while cleaning it up.

"I will fight no more I will fight no more forever"

This line sticks with me it is very reminding..Good Job.

Kind of a "take time to smell the roses" theme I think. I like the imagery I get when reading this. Slowing down and doing something different. Well written.
