Traveller Mine

Traveller Mine

A Poem by T L Barnes

Traveller wine.

Traveller Mine.

A knight in sheepskin

Lost in Time.

Only content when the road is long,

Dust and dirt make good your song.

Are you alone?

Are you afraid?

You have no companion with which to exchange

The words in your mind

Or the love in your heart.

Tell me, wanderer, when did it start?

Your face paints journey’s into unknown lands.

Hardships and tenderness burn from your hands.

A figure of intrigue,

A shadow on the brine.

Return home safely,

Traveller mine
