I've Been With The Dead

I've Been With The Dead

A Poem by Tina Kline

I've been in the coffin with the dead
I've eaten what they've been fed
I want the elixir that they desire
With their passion set my blood on fire

The dead have caressed my hair
They have kissed me everywhere
My breath has quickened with this lust
With them I have laid in the dust

I have haunted the dark ancient tombs
I have succumbed to their tempting gloom
I have wakened on the night of Halloween
About - Death - Demons - Madness - I did sing

But beyond this I have loved Immortal souls
Their passion - Their mystery - I do know
They blessed me with their Dark Conception
I now have the magic of their deception

See me - Human being - I think not
What you see of me you have forgot
For I exist in the Realm of the Dead
Could it be on you I have fed?

This is dark, spooky yet very fascinating. I can't help but be captivated by the mystery of it out. Your words here are rather enchanting in a chilling sort of way!
