Nocturnal Wandering

Nocturnal Wandering

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

A vampire poem.

"

Somewhere in San Salvador

         I existed as Nomad

Hiding in different eclipses

              Being nondescript

         A non entity

I was night loving

              Relishing my concealment

                                  My isolation

There was no pain

              No one bothered me

It became mandatory

It became compulsory

              I disappeared in the damp

       Steaming jungles

                   Of Latin America

Here I was happy

              Here I was safe

Yet sometimes sad

                   For I had no companion

I had no one to love

              Just my disfigurement

My mutilations

                   My lacerations

My blood spilled in San Salvador

The earth crimson with my tears

I was mauled - I was mangled

                   Yet in a love triangle

I’d rather be tangled

Yet I hid in the shadows

I came out only in the light of the moon

My search for love

                   For acceptance

My search for a Night Citizen

                   Like myself

Across the landscape of San Salvador

I only had to keep looking

                   Someone who can understand

    My verbal hieroglyphics

That person - that individual - if he so desired

                   Would be my mate

                             Would be my man

it's quite dramatic Tina,
I was mauled - I was mangled
Yet in a love triangle
I’d rather be tangled
Yet I hid in the shadows
I came out only in the light of the moon
My search for love
For acceptance.
this is the part i like most, after the narration above, the statements be come strong.....

Erotic tale of a lonely female vampire. Nice vivid images and interesting story in this poem.

The longing and search for love. Not even the vampires can escape this need. I love this, steamy and erotic yet has a touch of sadness mixed in.

I love how you personal this write, making it seem so real and vivid through experience... even the direct location... Powerful, sensual, dark and profound in your voice... this is remarkable.

Sultry and exotic, the placement of the jungles in San Salvador was fantastic. Definitely one of the better vampire poems I have read. If you hadn't told me it was a vampire poem it still could have stood alone in my mind as a woman with no apologies for the heat f her passion and the things she has endured in the name of lust.

A vampire hunting for love and acceptance instead of blood. Exotic and steamy, different sort of vampire story, awesome!
