"Mushroom Clouds in Magic Land" IN COLLABORATION WITH FRIEDA

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

i am missing Ms. Frieda and decided to re-post this poem which we did together .. i am so angry how one very nasty person was able to drive her from the Cafe :(

"
Mushroom Clouds in Magic Land

Tapped upon a mushroom cap's fancy,
to see if the rabbit hole was rumor
curiouser and curiouser
     about the unimaginable avenue,

She opens my mind and
fear grips my colors
from the hinterland .....                   tremors
wink
           and blink
                              and nod

As I sat upon my newfangled gumption
   common sense took a recess,
spoke in rhyme to the tune of absurd
     to my surprise, the scaramouch
                 of a head talked back

my birthing in darkness
          musk and dank scent
knocks        my shroom
head explodes
            collide's scope intense

in his elegant persuasion,
made a date for half past daft
took me on a dip of a mystical carpet trip
alas,  we've lived happily ever after
upon a prime floating island in a cloud

clouds of words
spilling like rough gouged stones in
tumbler's majestic insane
forever now i

re-pronounce her name

beginning and

end... ;)

What a superb collaboration from you and dear, dear Frieda = yours are minds that walk the same space.. perhaps!

There's so much in this piece, the colour and highlights take the reader into a world of bewilderingly spaced.out somewhere. The phrasing you've used is another language, a magic not to be translated - and who would want to do that...all of us!

Lewis Carrol would undoubtedly want to join the two of you in another collab, happily sharing his enlightenment via any means - even holding the breath and flying off and away with the daisies. . Brava and brava again.. Loved this. Great musical accompaniment, by the way... ..

Very nice. And so sorry to hear about Freda. Yes, people can be so cruel. And poetry is such a personal, intimate thing that for many, nasty criticism can hurt so deeply. I've received my own share of such criticism, but fortunately, I have a very thick skin.

Now as to the poem's execution and content. This is brilliantly woven together. I love the many Alice in Wonderland references and how you've turned them to personal, internals references and meaning. Very nicely done. High marks.

Your head exploded? Living in a floating island in a cloud? I think I know what kind of mushroom that was.

good morning Mr. Noodle.. I am so glad you still have this piece featured.. perhaps it is even more poignant today when "cancel" has become a "culture." I wonder how many other beautiful thoughts might have been shared..

What a super cool poem!! Being a huge fan of Alice, I can appreciate this so very much! I don't know the history of the other author, but I would say that had I not known this was a collaboration, it moved together with great fluidity and fun. From the title right down to the layout on the page, nicely done, E (and Frieda)!!
I am in awe of the writer's on this site. So many great people. Yes, I, too, know some greats that have come and gone, but these words live on. And fond memories shall be with you always!

More than 8,000 views! I feel like you don't need me to tell you that this is an amazing poem, but it's an amazing poem. Pages of comments, no doubt recollecting how you subtly reference items in our collective subconscious, Lewis Carroll would be proud. Never met Frieda but mad props to anyone whose hands helped craft these words.

This was written with superb imagination. It took me there (drew me in with a terrific first line)out of thought and landed me into a fanciful spirit. This poem was an absolute pleasure to read. It made smile. Brilliantly done.

Oh this had Frieda all over it and you two were able to tangle an absolute masterpiece together. This was a myriad of life and a fairy tale all rolled into one. First a i read silently then I read it again with a voice and felt myself immerse into this opening my wind to a much fuller imagination. Loved it!

If you still have contact with Frieda pleas pass on a bug hello! She was fantastic on the Cafe and I do remember the tough time that drove her away. So very sad to see her go from here.

Sorry, had to read and comment again! xD

Now that is a set of lines as I had come to expect from the "old" (metaphorical) Einstien Noodle. Obscure, yet in-your-face (head?) with no expectations, even when everything's said. Do we like it? But, of course! :)
