A Chapter by Tkess

Late night Sirens from a back-alley balcony.

Blue morning haze mangled by the colorless night.

Late night conversations hanging like clouds

obscuring our vision.

My mind floats like the tiny cubes of ice

in my whiskey,

diluting the experience.

Words suspended like leaves in early fall,

dead before they hit the ground
